Erin Andra Wilson Foundation - Providing Emotional & Financial Assistance to Families of Children with Cancer

The Erin Andra Wilson Foundation

was founded in 2003 to provide emotional and financial assistance to families of children with cancer and blood-related illnesses. Since that time, we have provided over $500,000 in assistance to over 1,100 families. Following weeksof deliberation, we have decided not to hold the annual Erin Andra FoundationGolf Tournament in 2020.  At the end ofthe day, the decision came down to the safety of our supporters in light of thespike in COVID-19 cases this summer in the Kansas City area and the possibilitythat the trend of increased cases may continue into the Fall.As many of you know, the Tournament has beenour main source of revenue since the Foundation’s inception in 2003 and a daythat we looked forward to seeing many friends and family members.  We look forward to holding the tournamentnext year with optimism that the risks of COVID-19 will have beenmitigated.

During the COVID 19 crisis, we have partnered with the Kansas City Ronald McDonald House to provide meals to the families residing in the homes. . Fox4 News produced a feature segment on our partnership that can beviewed athttps://fox4kc.com/this-is-our-kc/local-couple-filling-void-of-17000-volunteers-at-ronald-mcdonald-house/.

To support us in these efforts, please make a general donation through the golf tournament tab above or through paypal at https://www.paypal.me/eawfoundation.  You can also mail a check made out to "Erin Andra Wilson Foundation" to:

Our mission to alleviate the financial stress faced by families due to time off from work for hospital stays and clinic visits is more relevant than ever.  Currently, Erin's Foundation is the only available resource for about one-third of the families whose children treated under the care of the Children's Mercy Cancer Center for blood-related illnesses.  Many of the children who fall in this subset are never cured and thus face critical care needs for a longer period of their youth.

We appreciate your generosity and stay safe and well!
